RENTAL CONDITIONS
(A) AGE AND HIRER REQUIREMENTS
(1) The hirer must be between the age of 23 and 65 years, with qualified driving experience of at least two years and in
possession of a current Malaysian or international driving licence.
(B) RATES
(2) All published rates for rental, which are quoted in Ringgit (RM), include charges for maintenance, motor oil and greasing
except petrol. A full tank of premium grade petrol is supplied at the time of hiring and the hirer is to return the vehicle with a
full tank of premium grade petrol at the end of the rental period which is to be refilled at the hirer expenes on returning the
vehicles to our station. Failure to do so will result in a service charge of RM 40 being levied on the hirer's account.
(3) The minimum rental is for a period of twenty four (24) hours (1 day). Excess hours are calculated based on 1/4 of the daily
rate up to 6 hours. Thereafter, a full day's rate applies.
(4) The Owner reserves the right to amend the rates without prior notice to the public and customers are advised to confirm the
rates at the time of rental.
(C)TERMS OF PAYMENT
(5) A refundable deposit and the estimated cost of rental are payable in cash on delivery of the vehicles and the final adjustment
will be made on completion of the rental less any deductions due to the Owner for damages to the vehicles, if any, or any
when due charges payable to the Owner.
(D) TRAFFIC FINES AND PARKING FEES
(6)During the rental period, any traffic fines and parking fees incurred by the hirer need to be settled immediately as these are
the sole responsibilities of the Hirer including any resulting penalties for late settlement of fines/fees charged. The hirer
agrees to indemnify the owner for any liabilities arising thereof.
(E)INSURANCE
(7)Subject to terms specified in the Rental Agreement, Insurance is included in the rate, except for the first RM3,000 in respect
of loss or damage to the vehicle. This liability can be waived by a CDW charge of RM50 per day. The insurance coverage
and CDW protection are provided subject to availability of a police report within 24 hours in respect of any incident for which
indemnity is claimed for.
(8) Loss or damage to tyres, windows, windscreen, accessories and equipmently aside from normal wear and tear are not
protected by our car insurance or the purchase of CDW and the hirer agrees to indemnify the owner therefor.
(9) The car insurance will only be valid to authorise drivers of the hired vehicle. In the event that any vehicle is driven by a
person other than the hirer, the hirer will be fully resposible for all cost of making good any damages caused by the
unauthorised person and the hirer is not entitled to any benefits of the existing insurance policy.
(F) PERSONAL ACCIDENT INSURANCE
(10) The car insurance does not cover the driver or the passengers for injury due to accident. Additional protection is available
with the purchase of Personal Accident insurance (PAI). In one event of any accident, the hirer hereby agrees to fully
indemnify the owner for any claims arising therefrom on a solicitor and client basis.
(G) EXTENSION OF RENTAL
(11) Should the hirer wish to extend the rental beyond the original termination date, it is important that our Company be informed
immediately and the required advance paid, so that insurance cover is extended. Failure to do so will mean that the vehicle is
being driven without insurance coverage and without consent and the hirer hereby agrees in to fully indemnify the owner for
any claims arising therefrom on a solicitor and client basis.
(H) FREE COLLECTION AND DELIVERY
(12) There will be no charge for these services within 10km from city centre during office hours on weekdays (expect Public
Holidays and Sundays). A minimal charge may be imposed on collection and deliveries outside the area. Please check with
our staff at the time of booking.
(I) RENTING LIMITS
(13) The vehicles are to be used within Kuching area only and it should not be taken out of Kuching without the consent of the
company in writing and rentals terminating in any other place apart from our station are not permitted. For this purpose, the
Kuching area shall be taken to be all the area in Kuching City within a 40 km radius from AMI CAR RENTAL SDN BHD office
In Kuching. In the event that the said vehicle is used outside the rental limits, the hirer will be fully liable for any
consequential loss and damage to the said vehicle of use outside the renting limits. In the event that rental is terminated
outside the Kuching Area, the company reserves the right to levy a collecting fee which differs in each location, Please ask
for the rates during reservation.
J) IN CASE OF ACCIDENT
(4) In the event of the hired vehicle meeting with an accident it is a condition precedent that the company's respresentative be
first informed and contacted before the hirer lodges any report or permits any garage to tow away the hired vehicle for
repairs. Any breach of this condition precedent will render the hirer liable to make good all losses caused to the company and
the hirer is not entitled to the benefits of the vehicles existing insurance policy.
